Communications Officer
HATIL is looking to hire a Communications Officer. The Communications Officer will support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity material, respond to inquiries from the public and media, and coordinate promotional online & offline events. To succeed in this role, you should be able to think creatively and have excellent communication and digital literacy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, reports, speeches, article, newsletters, blogs and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, maintain a media database and collate analytics and metrics.
- Serve as a point of contact for media and respond to media inquiries, and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications.
- Manages contracts and relationships with vendors and business partners.
- Delivers written and verbal communications by designated deadlines.
- Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand and coordinate publicity events as required.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy.
- Identify and resolve any issues with promotional content promptly and professionally.
- Monitor the company’s online presence, track analytics and create reports detailing successes.
- Educates staff members on communication processes.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/ Communications/ English/ Public relations/ Journalism or any related field.
- A minimum of 3-10 years of experience working in a marketing or communications position.
- Understand the best practices of major online channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest, Wikipedia, etc.
- Must have excellent computer skills, particularly with software applications like Word and PowerPoint and Productivity tools.
- Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content.
- Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of communications, public relations, design aesthetics and marketing best practices.
- Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts.
- Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be highly detail-oriented.
